T.L.C. Preschool Program
Tender Loving Care (TLC) Preschool was started in the fall of 1982 by parents in the community and members of the Orion United Methodist Church. We follow all state regulations for fire, health, and DCFS.
TLC Preschool offers classes for children ages 3-5 years. The Cubs program is held on Monday and Tuesday of each week for children who turn 3 before September 1 of the current year. The Bears program is held on Wednesday through Friday each week for children who turn 4 before September 1. For more information on enrollment, please contact us.
Our school is not limited to children of the Orion School District; it is open to anyone. Children are welcome to join throughout the year as long as there are spots available. For more information on enrollment, please contact us.
Goals of the T.L.C. Program
1. Social Growth: Our goal for your preschooler is to develop skills of sharing, listening and participation. We will help them develop respect and fairness to themselves, others and property.
2. Physical Growth: Your child will be given the opportunity to develop large and fine motor skills through planned activities and play.
3. Language Development: Your child, through group and individual activities such as show and tell, puppet shows, songs and finger plays, will have an opportunity to develop language skills.
4. Perceptual Development: Through the use of puzzles and games your child will develop a perceptual awareness of his or her surroundings and become more independent.
5. Emotional Growth: Our goal is to have your child develop a positive self-concept.
